    4 Halifaxes from 405 and 408 Squadrons were joined by 4 Wellingtons from 425 and 426 Squadrons on an attack at St. Nazaire. The crews were over the target at between 13,000 and 16,000 feet, releasing 45,000 lbs of high explosives. 

    P/O G. Anderson from 425 Squadron was hit by flak, not serious. They landed at Harwell on return.
     

    While the above small group went to St. Nazaire, 11 Wellingtons from 420, 424, and 427 Squadrons were ordered to attack Lorient. The crews were over the target at between 16,000 and 18,000 feet, releasing 26,000 lbs of high explosives.

    Sgt. S. Atkinson from 424 Squadron landed at St. Eval on return.

    Sgt. H. Green from 427 Squadron returned early as the generators were u/s.
