April 6/7, 1943



    10 Halifaxes from 405 and 408 Squadrons were joined by 5 Wellingtons from 431 Squadron on a mining operation to La Rochelle and Brest. The crews were over the garden at between 700 and 1,000 feet, sowing 26@1500 lb mines.

    P/O M. Sattler from 405 Squadron returned as they could not find the pinpoint.
    P/O N. Daggett landed at Castle Donnington on return.
    F/O J. Edwards RCAF and crew, flying Halifax II  DT-699 coded LQ-G, failed to return from this operation.
