41 Halifaxes from 419, 427 and 428 Squadrons were ordered on an attack at Nurnberg. The crews were over the target at between 17,000 and 21,000 feet, releasing 120,000 lbs of incendiaries and 40,000 lbs high explosives. According to reports, there was some cloud, but serious damage was caused central and southern sectors of the city.
