37 Lancasters from 408, 419 and 428 squadron were joined by 103 Halifaxes from 408, 415, 424, 426, 427, 429, 431, 432, 433, and 434 squadrons on an attack of 3 V-1 sites at Ferme Du Forestal, Acquet, and L’Hey. There was 10/10th cloud over all the targets and only P/O C. McKinstry from 426 squadron released 8,000 lbs of high explosives from 16,000 feet. All the other crews were ordered back to base by the master bomber.
