    72 Halifaxes from 408, 415, 420, 424, 425, 426, 427, 429, 431, 432, 433, and 434 squadrons were ordered to attack 8 V-1 launching sites at L’Hey, Anderbelck, Ouef en Ternois, Bois St. Remy, Ferfay, Fresnoy, Ferme du Forestal, and Ferme du Grand Bois. The crews were over the targets at between 12,000 and 15,000 feet, releasing 455,000 lbs of high explosives. According to reports, all attacks were accurate. These were the last attacks on the V-1 launching sites in the Pas de Calais area.

    F/Sgt C. Reid from 420 Squadron did not bomb, they were hit by flak and could not open the bomb doors. F/O T. Kernaghan RCAF, the bomb aimer, was seriously injured. They landed safely at Woodbridge to tend to the bomb aimer.

    F/O G. Plyley from 427 squadron returned without bombing, as there were no T.I’s.

    F/O J. Prentice and P/O R. James from 429 squadron did not bomb, as there were no T.I’s.
    F/O D. Gillis did not bomb as they overshot the target.

    F/O E. Tuckey from 431 squadron did not bomb, as there were no T.I’s.

    F/O D. Best from 432 squadron was hit by flak, not serious.
    P/O D. Frost was hit by flak, the wireless operator, F/Sgt D. William RCAF, was injured.

    P/O R. Telford from 434 squadron returned early as the port outer was u/s. They landed safely at base on 3 engines.
     

    While some of the group was attacking the V-1 sites, 24 Halifaxes from 408, 420, 425, and 426 squadrons were ordered to attack the coastal guns at Ile de Cezembre. The crews were over the target at between 12,000 and 13,000 feet, releasing 242,000 lbs of high explosives.

    F/O J. Ryan from 425 squadron landed at Tarrant Rushton on return due to a fuel shortage.

    P/O L. Matton from 426 squadron returned early as the stbd inner was u/s. They landed safely at base on 3 engines.
     
     

    23 Halifaxs from 415, 424, 432, and 433 squadrons also attacked shipping in Brest Harbour. The crews were over the target at between 9,000 and 11,000 feet, releasing 202,000 lbs of high explosives.

    F/O T. Prescott from 433 squadron returned early with a technical problem.
