    31 Lancaster from 408, 426, and 432 squadrons were ordered on an attack at Berlin. The crews were over the target at between 17,000 and 22,000 feet, releasing 124,000 lbs of high explosives and 73,000 lbs of incendiaries. According to reports, the target was cloud covered and bombing was scattered.

    F/O J. White from 408 Squadron returned early as they were unable to climb.
    P/O S. Laine landed at Tangmere on return due to a fuel shortage.
    F/Sgt D. Hilker and crew, flying Lancaster II LL-631 coded EQ-G, were attacked by an ME-109, some strikes were seen.

    F/Sgt R. Jarman from 426 Squadron landed at Ford due to a fuel shortage.
    F/Lt W. Spafford landed at Harwell on return due to a fuel shortage.
    P/O S. McDonald landed at Waterbeach on return due to a fuel shortage.

    F/Lt C. Barrett from 432 Squadron was hit by friendly flak over Southampton, not serious.
    F/O A. Mercer landed at Harwell on return due to a fuel shortage.
    F/O D. Von Laufer landed at Exeter on return.
    F/Sgt W. Pay landed at Woodbridge on return.
