    35 Lancaster from 408, 426, and 432 squadrons were ordered on an attack at Stettin. The crews were over the target at between 16,000 and 24,000 feet, releasing 136,000 lbs of high explosives and 42,000 lbs of incendiaries. According to reports, bombing was accurate and severe damaged was caused.

    2nd/Lt. M. Humphrey from 408 squadron returned early due to severe icing and the port inner going u/s. The crew tossed out all loose equipment, including front guns, oxygen bottles, and smoke floats as they could not maintain height due to the icing. They landed safely at base on 3 engines.

    F/Lt. W. Spafford from 426 squadron was hit by debris from an exploding aircraft. One engine was damaged.

    P/O H. Whaley from 432 squadron returned early as the stbd inner was u/s. They landed safely at base on 3 engines.
    F/Sgt. W. Fernyhough was attacked by an ME-110, there was no claim or damage.
