    27 Lancaster from 408 and 419 squadron were joined by 65 Halifaxes from 420, 425, 426, and 432 squadrons on an attack of a V-1 storage site at Thiverny. The crews were over the target at between 14,000 and 15,000 feet, releasing 991,000 lbs of high explosives. According to reports, the weather was good and the target was well hit.

    W/Cdr W. Pleasance from 419 squadron returned early as the stbd inner caught fire. The fire was put out and a safe landing was made at base on 3 engines.
    F/O J. Calder landed at Marston Moor on return.

    Sgt. R. Campbell from 432 squadron returned early as they were unable to raise the under carriage.
    F/O R. Lawrenson returned early as the navigator was sick.
