    76 Halifaxes from 420, 424, 425, 426, 427, and 429 squadrons were ordered on an attack of the V-1 launching sites at Foret du Croc, Oeuf en Ternois, and Coquereaux. The crews were over the targets at between 11,000 and 14,000 feet, releasing 585,000 lbs of high explosives. According to reports, bombing was scattered.

    W/O2 W. McAdam from 420 squadron returned early as they could not raise the under carriage.
    F/O K. Kidd returned early as they could not climb above 5,000 feet.
    Some crews landed at Skipton on Swale on return.

    5 crews from 425 squadron landed at Middleton St. George on return.

    P/O J. Irish RCAF and crew, flying Halifax III LV-950 coded AL-C, from 429 squadron, failed to return from this operation.

    All of the crew were killed.
     

    While some of the group was attacking the V-1 sites, 4 Halifaxes from 433 squadron were ordered on a mining operation to Brest. The crews were over the garden at between 11,000 and 15,000 feet, sowing 16@1500 lb mines.

    All crews were diverted to Harwell on return.
