    6 Wellingtons from 431 Squadron were ordered on a mining operation to Brest. The crews were over the garden at between 1,500 and 2,000 feet, sowing 12@1500 lb mines.

    Sgt J. Reynoldson was involved in a taxing accident at Portreath. The bomb aimer, Sgt G. Crebbin RAF, was slightly injured.
    W/Cdr J. Coverdale, Sgt A. Bryant, Sgt W. Eaglesham, Sgt P. Davis and Sgt J. Esdale landed at Chivenor on return.
