    40 Lancasters from 419 and 428 squadron, were joined by 218 Halifaxes from 408, 415, 420, 424, 425, 426, 427, 429, 431, 432, 433, and 434 squadrons. They were ordered on a daylight attack of Duisberg. The crews were over the target at between 17,000 and 21,000 feet, releasing 2,080,000 lbs of high explosives and 300,000 lbs of incendiaries.

    P/O T. Barber was hit by flak, not serious.

    S/Ldr. S. Frankling from 415 squadron was hit by flak, holes in the stbd wing.
    F/O B. Roberts was hit by flak, holes in port wing, aileron and flap.

    F/Lt W. Cameron from 419 Squadron was hit by flak, port inner damaged.
    F/O R. McVicar was hit by flak, holes in fuselage.
    P/O R. Mansfield was hit by flak, Sgt J. Murphy RCAF , the mid-upper gunner was injured. Crew landed at Woodbridge.
    F/O A. Weston was hit by flak, not serious.
    F/Lt J. Anderson was hit by flak, not serious.
    F/O L. Bowerman was hit by flak, holes in windscreen.
    F/O A. Roy, RCAF--POW, and crew failed to return from this operation.

    P/O W. MacDonald was hit by flak, holes in windscreen.
    F/O W. English was hit by flak, holes in fuselage.

    F/O G. Hawthorne from 424 squadron returned early as the stbd inner was u/s. Landed safely at base on 3 engines.
    F/O R. Earl was hit by flak, holes in fuselage.
    F/Lt. J. Partridge was hit by flak, holes in port outer nacelle
    F/O L. Wright was hit by flak, one engine u/s due to oil leak. Landed safely at base on 3 engines.
    F/O D. Chance landed at Carnaby due to low brake pressure.

    F/O C. Pidcock from 425 Squadron returned early as some flight controls were not working correctly.
    F/O G. Lareau, F/O P. Legault, and F/Lt J. Belanger were hit by flak, not serious.
    S/Ldr L. Dupuis was hit by flak, holes in fuselage and wings.
    F/O W. Forman was hit by flak, holes in rear fuselage.
    F/O C. Dionne was hit by flak, holes in stbd wing and tail fin.
    F/O T. MacKinnon was hit by flak, bomb doors were damaged.
    P/O J. Sicotte was hit by flak, holes in a fuel tank.
    F/O D. Smith was hit by flak, bomb doors damaged and hydraulics u/s.
    F/Lt J. Galipeau RCAF–POW and crew, flying Halifax III MZ-674 coded KW-N, failed to return from this operation.

    F/O W. Tynan from 428 squadron was hit by flak, holes in fuselage.
    F/Lt. A. Gilbert was hit by flak, holes in fuselage.
    F/Lt. L. Kagna was hit by flak, holes in stbd wing and tail plane.
    F/O G. Pauli was hit by flak, holes in stbd wing.
    F/O D. Poole was hit by flak, holes in both wings, stbd fin and elevator.
    F/Sgt. D. MacKie was hit by flak, holes in stbd wing.
    F/Lt W. Janney, RCAF, and crew failed to return from this operation.

    P/O B. Drewery from 429 Squadron landed at Carnaby on return due to low brake pressure. F/O L. Keelan was hit by flak, not serious.
    F/Lt A. Childs had the port inner go u/s over the target. They landed safely on 3 engines. 
    P/O F. Augusta RCAF and crew, flying Halifax III MZ-453 coded AL-J, was hit by flak, holes in stbd wing and fuel tanks. The wing caught fire and could not be extinguished. The crew flew back towards home and bailed out near Brussels.

    The crew were safe except the navigator who had been injured by flak.

    F/O H. Williamson from 431 squadron had the stbd outer go u/s outbound, bombed from 13,000 feet and returned safely to base on 3 engines.
    F/O A. Huchala was hit by flak, holes in the wings and fuselage.

    S/Ldr. R. Jack from 432 squadron was hit by flak, holes in 2 port fuel tanks and oil tank.
    F/lt F.Horan was hit by flak, port wing severely damaged.

    F/O S. McKellar from 433 squadron returned early as the pilot’s escape hatch blew off and the pitot tube covering was left on.

    F/Lt. G. Halcro from 434 squadron did not bomb as the load hung up over the target.
    P/O J. Badgley landed at Waddington on return due to a fuel shortage.
    F/O J. Wagman was hit by flak, holes in port wing and fuselage.
