    10 Halifaxes from 427 squadron were sent off on a mining operation to the Kattegat area. The crews were over the garden at 15,000 feet releasing 36@1500 lb mines.

    F/O G. Kirby returned early due to the navigation aids being u/s.
    F/Lt A. Sherlock, F/O F. Brownell, F/Lt H. Woodruff, F/Lt O. Gorman, F/Lt G. Slocombe, F/Lt L. Van Kleeck, F/O W. Britton, F/O L. Ayers, and F/O C. Ganley landed at Lossiemouth on return due to poor weather at base.
