    100 Halifaxes from 408, 415, 420, 425, 426, and 432 squadrons were joined by 99 Lancasters from 419, 424, 427, 428, 429, 431, 433, and 434 squadrons on an attack at Bremen. All of the crews were sent home on the master bombers orders due to poor weather, dust, and smoke over the target.

    F/Lt T. Donnelly from 415 Squadron landed at Carnaby on return.

    F/O D. Saunders from 424 squadron was hit by flak. The port wing was severely damaged along with the bomb doors and fuselage. P/O Saunders was also hit in the left eye with a piece of perspex. They returned safely to base without any further injures.

    F/Sgt W. Jackson from 425 squadron had the port outer go u/s outbound. They landed at B-77 in Holland due to low fuel.

    F/Lt. J .Paul from 432 squadron returned early due to the stbd outer being u/s. They landed safely at base on 3 engines.

    F/O C. Gillis from 433 squadron returned early due to stbd outer being u/s. They landed safely at base on 3 engines.
