20 Halifaxes from 429 and 431 Squadrons were ordered on a mining operation the Frisian Islands.
The crews were over the garden at between 6,000 and 7,000 feet, sowing 38@1500 lb mines.

F/O H. Paddison and F/Sgt S. Wick from 429 Squadron, returned early with technical problems.
F/O J. Atkins was attacked by an ME-109, it was claimed damaged.
