14 Wellingtons from 429 and 431 Squadrons were ordered on a mining operation to Brest and St. Nazaire. The crews were over the gardens at between 700 and 1,000 feet, sowing 24@1500 lb mines.

Sgt R. Murray from 429 Squadron returned without mining as they could not find the pinpoint.

Sgt R. Rubie from 431 Squadron returned early as they were not able to find the pinpoint.
Sgt F. Long was attacked by an enemy aircraft. There was no claim or damage.
