March 2/3, 1944



    63 Halifaxes from 419, 428, 429, 431, and 434 squadrons were ordered on an attack of the aircraft factory at Meulan Les Mureaux.  The crews were over the target at between 4,000 and 7,000 feet, releasing 640,000 lbs of high explosives. According to reports, the factory was seriously damaged. 

    P/O E. Sykes from 428 squadron returned without bombing as there were no T. I.s. 

    F/Sgt P. Cadegan from 429 squadron landed at Valley on return. 

    P/O J. Snelgrove from 434 squadron did not bomb as they could not open the bomb doors.
