    10 Halifaxes from 429 squadron were ordered on a mining operation to Oslo. The crews were over the garden at 15,000 feet, sowing 8@1850 lb and 28@1500 lb mines.

    F/Lt J. Creeper returned early as the navigation aids weren’t working.
    F/O A. Cook had the port outer go u/s over the garden. They returned safely to base on 3 engines.
