22 Halifaxes from 428 and 433 Squadrons were ordered on a mining operation to Brest, Morlaix, St. Malo, Le Havre, St. Nazaire, and Cherbourg. The crews were over the garden at between 8,000 and 15,000 feet sowing 44@1,500 lb mines.

All crews returned safely to base.
